Ruven Perelman
Ruven began his education as a goldsmith at an early age. At ten years old, he had learned to enamel gold pieces in his father’s laboratory, where his father continued the family tradition of five previous generations who had crafted jewels for the Russian nobility.
After high school, Ruven attended the Art Institute Benvenuto Cellini in Valenza, Italy. He received the titles of Master Gemologist and Master in the Art of Precious Metals after five years of demanding curriculum. Aesthetics rooted in the history of art is the basis of his work today.
Miranda Perelman
Miranda has a doctorate in art history as well as in Italian literature. Her contribution is from the artistic and design point of view. Being a woman and interested in fashion, Miranda looks at objects and how they interact with Ruven’s work. “A jewelry piece should be complimentary, integrating it with the personal style of the client, to make it a one-of-a-kind commissioned piece.”
A true collaboration, Ruven and Miranda have made the choice to keep alive a form of art that is almost extinct from the technical and creative point of view. There is no commercialization, every design is one-of-a-kind and anything can be ordered and made.
